Send Out Your Light And Your Truth

Psalm 43 - 1 O God, take up my cause! Defend me against these ungodly people. Rescue me from these unjust liars. 2 For you are God, my only safe haven. Why have you tossed me aside? Why must I wander around in darkness, oppressed by my enemies? 3 Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live. 4 There I will go to the altar of God, to God – the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God! 5 Why am I discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again – my Savior and my God!” (NLT)

Are you going through something right now and you just don’t see an end in sight? Have there been times when you have felt as though darkness has set in all around you and you just can’t find your way out of the darkness? Have you felt so alone that you feel that God has tossed you aside as well?

My friend there is Hope, and that Hope is found in none other but God our Savior. Cry out to your Savior and ask Him to send you His Light and Truth to guide you. How can you find the Truth?

I John 2:27 “But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you all things, and what he teaches is true – it is not a lie. So continue in what he has taught you, and continue to live in Christ.” (NLT)

The Holy Spirit who lives inside you will guide you to the Truth and will provide the right path to follow.

If we run to God we will no longer be in darkness. In I John 1:5 we read, “…God is light and there is no darkness in him at all.” (NLT) The statement “God is Light” means that God is perfectly holy and true and that he alone can guide you out of the darkness. God’s light provides the clear vision to follow the Truth.

If you feel surrounded by darkness and uncertainty follow God’s light and truth. He will guide you out of the darkness and you will once again be able to say with the psalmist, “Why am I discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again – my Savior and my God!” Psalm 43:5 (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank you that you have given us your Spirit to guide us to the truth so we can see Your light in us when we feel so discouraged and overwhelmed with life. May our hope always rest in You. In Jesus Name, Amen

I often find myself down about something and as soon as I remember to take it to the Lord I am comforted.

Nice to meet you! I praise God for His Spirit. No other religion claims to offer the Spirit of God to followers. That's where the power lies.

Blessings,
