Hurricane Michele Is Now A Tropical Storm
This was me earlier today (Thursday). About every other month I get REALLY hormonal. Twenty-five years ago this month I had my last period. You see, because of an unforeseen problem, I had to have a hysterectomy and because I was so young they did not take my ovaries. So, I PMS without the M -. Although my husband would say the M stands for MOODY. The problem is that it's not necessarily on a cycle. It could hit me monthly or it could skip a month. And then again, I am turning 51 next month....it could be that I'm pre - menopausal! Either way, my poor husband doesn't quite know what to say or do when the "other woman" comes to visit! HA! Today without warning the "other woman" arrived! After the first ten minutes of my husband's homecoming from a long day at work I did something I had not done in a while; I gave him a warning. Yes ladies, I took a long breathe, said a prayer, and then proceeded to tell him that he better stay clear because hurricane Michele has arrived! Jim, in his typical caring way started to say something nice, then he saw the LOOK... you know ladies that LOOK... the LOOK that if you don't get out of my sight right now I will bite your head right OFF!!! Ha-ha!!! Hey, I think I did pretty well. I didn't say anything. I just gave him the LOOK and went straight to my study to play a computer game to "veg out" while I cooled down. My smart hubby left me alone until hurricane Michele left; which was only about an hour later. I'm still a little edgy, but I think the "storm" may have stepped down to a tropical storm this time. I think it's safe to say my husband doesn't have to sleep with one eye open tonight! Ha-ha!!!!

I hate it when I feel as if my body is in control and not me! I am so much better with my new lifestyle and diet but I can still get attacked with terrible bouts of crazy anger and irritability and discouragement at certain times of the month. When it passes it DOES seem just like a hurricane went through and clouded me over for a time. Hugs and prayers for you.
I am sorry but you had me laughing so hard, I guess its because I know exactly where you are coming from. I have done this too my husband as well. I will do something else as well till it passes. I have learned to handle this problem better. I am not on any hormones and the hot flashes are horrible. But my husband has been so understanding, and when he sees it coming he will also find something else to do. :)
I also start praying when I know this is happening, and it sure does help.
I am looking forward to the cold fronts...Thank goodness winter is here!
Have a Blessed and terrific weekend
Uh-oh, I still have my ovaries too, is this something I have to look forward too?? lol
Hugs and prayers for you Michele!
You are not alone. I know I am having PMS and still cannot control my bad behavior...(aka, crankiness) I know it bothers my husband, but I really try...just can't stop the feeling of being so cranky. My kids call me crazy Mom during that time. LOL So glad it is only a tropical storm now.
I'll play devil's advocate for just a second.... If men blogged the way WE do, I wonder how they would narrate this. . .
Hmmmmm. . .
Something to think about...
I empathize. I really do. Count yourself lucky - some of us don't know the storm is comin' till after the storm damage is evident and the media (i.e., loud-mouth kids) have arrived!
Oh my I'm not sure who to feel sorry for lol! That is so funny and I know about "the look" lol.
Thanks for sharing your story.
Sorry you're down with the bug...yuk!!
I sure can relate to this post, I'm going through all kind of changes these days and it's NO FUN.
