Thankful
There are so many things I am thankful for this week. Let’s face it, with the condition of the World Economy let alone the US Economy, this is making many people nervous and on edge. As Christians, if we believe the Word of God to be true, then we should not be surprised as to what is going on in the world. We know from God’s Word that the times before Christ’s return are going to be turbulent to say the least. What’s important now is for those of us who are Christians should be a comfort, examples, and witnesses to those with no hope. We know the final outcome – they do not; so of course there will be panic. Those of us who know Christ must live believing and knowing that God is in control – in the good times and the bad times.
Dear Lord, I desire to live my life believing and knowing that You are in control of what is going on in this world. May my life be a witness for You so that those who have no hope will come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior. May those of us who know You, be prepared for your glorious return. In Jesus Precious Name, Amen.
I Am Thankful For:
For the past several months I have been suffering from Plantar Fasciitis (along with many other chronic illnesses). It has been so painful that I could barely walk. Last Friday I went to the doctor’s office. I was not prepared for what he was about to do, although, it is probably best I didn’t know beforehand. He stuck a needle in and out of my foot about five times (felt like 50) injecting me with cortisone. Yes, it was painful… I have to admit I sounded like a woman giving birth. I was using the deep breathing techniques! My daughter was laughing, she’s such a comfort! Actually she was laughing to keep from passing out! Lol… The next day I couldn’t walk at all. The pain was excruciating! But since then I have been able to walk a little and today Jim will take me to a specialty shoe store to hopefully purchase a special shoe designed for such a problem! This shoe along with special therapy I can do at home is suppose to help the problem with my foot so I can start walking and get fit! So, I am thankful for the doctor, the painful shot, and hopefully the new shoes that will allow me to walk again.
A few Scripture reference regarding end time: Matthew 24:6-8; Mark 13:7-8; Luke 21:10-11; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Peter 3:10; I Thessalonians 4:15-18; I Corinthians 15: 51-52; Matthew 24:42, 44; Matthew 25:13

Such a great thankful post sweetie, and so true. I am praying for your feet, love you.
I hope the painful shots will prove helpful to you. I agree it was probably best you didn't know going into it what he was going to do.
Ooh how awful. I know that is extremely painful. Praying for your relief soon!
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! You got it right about the turbulent times. If we've read the end of the Book, nothing should surprise us! You show great peace and understanding in this....
I can fully sympathize with you on the plantar issues! Was on crutches for nearly three months dealing with that. OHHHHHHHHHHH!
Happy Thankful Thursday!
I will be praying for your Plantar Fasciitis. I'm glad the treatment seems to be working, sorry it was so very painful though :( I pray the new shoes will be helpful too! God be with you this week and keep you pain free.
I'm so glad you DIDN'T know before going in! Did you find shoes yet?
I really appreciate the first part of your post. These are troublesome times. We are Christians need to be an example of faith to the world. Unfortunately, it's only going to get worse before it gets better. We have not hit bottom yet.
Love you, sis.
Thank you for sharing your grateful heart with us and oh my what a blessing to hear you give thanks even in the midst of your difficulty. Thanks for stopping by my TT post today on Missions. May you be blessed.
Hi, Michelle!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the comment.
Have a BLESSED weekend!
What a great remnder of God's sovereignty and his loving control in our lives. I understand about feet. I ruptured my plantar plate 3 years ago and have had a terrible time since. I just recently had a $350.00 pair of custom supports made to wear in my shoes which is helping- gradually. But when it hurts to walk everything else feels bad too. I'll add you to my prayers. Be blessed!
Carolyn
Oh, when your feet hurt, you just hurt all over! I hope the shot works for a while, not just a week or so.
I agree, we need to be examples and good witness to the lost world at all times, but especially in these times.
My sweet sister,
I'm sorry I didn't get by here yesterday. I pray you are feeling better today. I can't imagine knowing beforehand.
((hugs)) and blessings to you today!
OOOHHHH. That sounded unpleasent, and keeping with our true genetic make up, slightly amusing.
Not for you of course!
I hope the shoes help you.
Have a great weekend!
Love ya,
Missy :)
I'm sorry with the painful procedure you've gone through but I'm praying that you'll feel better everyday. Praying for the hurting feet.
Thanks for encouraging us in God's faithfulness. I hope you are able to find the right kind of shoe to help you. I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I'm glad Heather was such a support to you :)

I had a foot that my chiropractor fixed. She was very devoted to her work. It felt twisted in some way and I feel so much better and appreciate what she did for me so much.
I hope you can feel confortable on your feet again soon.
