“Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
I am thankful to be a burden bearer. It is such an awesome privilege and humbling experience to be the bearer at “both ends”, so to speak.
This past week I have been humbled and blessed by three dear sweet ladies from our church. I call them The Three Debs. These three Debbie’s heeded my call “to bear my burden”, with a need for someone to clean our apartment every couple of weeks. For one who has a chronic illness this is such a great blessing! You just don’t know how difficult it is to even TRY to clean, let alone actually do the work! They rotate turns and come two at a time to clean. It only takes them a couple of hours; where it would literally take me days and I still wouldn’t get everything done since I am unable to do most of the housework myself.
Let me detour for a minute and say that if you know someone who has a chronic illness, chronic pain, disabled, something that may hinder them from doing even some of the simplest tasks, please don’t hesitate to volunteer to assist them. Don’t ask… just do it. We never want to be a burden on others so we will say, “no, that’s alright,” when actually we want to say, “Oh, Lord bless you! Yes!” So say something like, “It would be a privilege for me to clean your house, what day and time is best for you?”
What a blessing these ladies are to my husband and I. I get an added blessing by talking and laughing with the ladies while they clean. They are so funny too! While cleaning our bathroom, one of the Debs asked me if I cleaned before they came! How funny is that? She said, “Your bathroom is so clean, there is no urine around the toilet”. I laughed and said, “My husband is well trained!” We have a great time of fellowship while they work. I am so thankful that the three Debs take time out of their busy schedules to “bear my burden”. God Bless the three Debs!
This past week and every week, I am blessed, humbled and privilege to “bear others burdens” through prayer. Something I CAN do! We all can do this and it’s such a great need too. As most of you know, at the top of my blog I have a place where you can share your prayer requests and praise reports. For those of you who have been praying for these requests, thank you so much! We had two answered prayers already this week! These ladies are so excited that God has answered their prayers so fast! Isn’t this awesome how bearing one another’s burdens can be such a blessing to those of us who pray as well? What an awesome privilege to take these burdens to our Lord and Savior and then see how God will answer these prayers!
I am truly Thankful that we can bear one another’s burdens and take them to the Lord in prayer. May the Lord keep thee in His tender loving care and may his peace comfort you as you continue through your busy day. God bless you.
P.S. – I will see what I can do to list the prayer requests and praises on my blog. Some have even emailed me personally with their requests as well. If it’s private, I keep it private too. Bless you!

Bless you for bearing my burdens with me dear friend, I love you.
It does feel good to be a blessing by bearing a burden...Hope you are feeling well.
You know you are just as much a blessing to them as they are to you.
I think that is wonderful! With two parents who are in need of a lot of help now, I can agree that people just have to "do it" and not ask permission.
God bless your sweet friends. And God bless you for lifting them up!
Love,
Beth
Praise God for your Three Debs. They are amazing women! My husband helps me so much in the housekeeping area. He has a true servants heart. Chronic illness is not a good thing to have! I wrestle with it not as often as most but when I do, it's debilitating. I praise God, though, for sending me blessings amidst it. Happy Thankful Thursday!
What a blessing the Debs are!
God bless you and your family.
Michele,
You blessed me so with this post. Physically, I may be limited at times, but when I can, I do try to just 'go' and bless others!
I always walk away feeling I am the one who is blessed. You so hit the nail on the head.
And I love the blogs who have a place that offer up a prayer request. That touches my heart. You bless me, my sweet sis!
Thank God that He allows us to be a blessing to people in different ways. Prayer is a huge blessing!
What a blessing to have others help you! Thanks for sharing that.
I love your theme of being a burden bearer. That's great!
Hello Sweet Michele. You've been TAGGED. Come to my page to see what this is all about.

Neato! I'm so thankful they are doing this for you.
It was good talking to you today.
Love you!
Thank God for these lovely ladies that God sent to bear your burdens. Thanks too for bearing my burdens and that of many, praying and encouraging us. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you always!
