Goodbye For Now....

.

Today, Saturday, December 20, 2008, at 3:22pm my dear mother-in-law (Lydia) left her tired, worn out body and woke up in the arms of her precious Savior along with her loving husband Earl, and four precious children gone on before her. My husband, his two sisters, their husbands and the oldest grandson were at her bedside when she passed into Glory. Her graveside service will be held on Tuesday with my husband bringing the “message”. We ask for your prayers for God's continued comfort and peace during this very busy, sad, yet joyous Christmas week. God Bless You All.

Lydia has known a great deal of heartache, sorrow and tears; but she has also known and brought much joy to those who love her. (The above picture is about 7 years ago when all the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were all together for Christmas. Lydia is sitting in the middle of us all. )
"For His anger is but for a moment,His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5

Spending Christmas with Jesus poem
by Wanda Bencke

I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below,
With tiny lights like heaven's stars
Reflecting in the snow.

The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away that tear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But earthly music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For it's beyond description
To hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
Trust God and have no fear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I can't tell you of the splendor
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you imagine Christmas
With our Savior, face to face?

May God uplift your spirit
As I tell Him of your love
Then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above.

So let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirits sing
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the king!

God Saw You Getting Tired
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
"Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
he only takes the best

Praying for you all. I'm so happy for Lydia! What she has longed for has come to pass. What rejoicing is taking place in heaven!

I loved your song choices. I never heard the song Kathy Troccoli sang. Her voice has such a rich, dramatic tone to it with this song. I heard a passionate side of her I'd never heard before.

Michele,

I'm sorry for the loss of Lydia. Praising God she is a child of His and forever in His loving arms. Thankful for that knowledge during times such as these.

I will be praying for your family this week! Thanking God He is faithful and will comfort you all as you walk this last journey with her on Tuesday.

I loved the family picture and the joy in her eyes. Very special indeed!

Blessings, hugs and love!

Wishing you a very special Christmas and blessed New Year!
