This week’s Know God Intimately study meme we saw that God is Spirit and God is Omniscient. I had asked that today, Thankful Thursday, everyone share with us what they are thankful for regarding the two attributes we have discussed the past two days.
I am thankful that God is a living spirit (Josh. 3:10, Psalm 84:2, 1 Thess. 1:9). He thinks, feels and He acts. Because He is a living person I can get to know Him personally and communicate with Him freely.
I am thankful that God is All Knowing. It does not intimidate me at all. Knowing that God knows and sees everything makes me more accountable, and more aware of how, what and why I live my life. As a Christian I am to glorify my Lord. Knowing that I worship a living, all knowing God is very comforting, making me aware that I am never alone and He will guide me in the way I am to go. It is so awesome to know that no detail about me is too small for God. He is concerned and knows even how many hairs I have on my head! He knows when I stand and sit down! He desires to know all this about me! I How amazing is that!
I am so thankful that God understands me better than I understand myself and He is right there to minister to me with the appropriate encouragement and the perfect provision.
I am so thankful dear Lord that You are a living all know God who cares about me more than anyone can or ever will! I am so thankful that I am in your tender loving hands and nothing happens to me that you don’t know first! Thank you Heavenly Father that I can know your heart and communicate with you through Your creation, Your Word, and prayer. Thank you heavenly Father for the 3 Debs who unselfishly cleaned my apartment today for almost 3 hours. Thank you Lord for enabling my sister to minister to our mom and stepfather in their time of need. I ask that you help our mother to understand what she needs to do to help make her husband’s last days as comfortable and peaceful as possible. I ask that You will comfort them both and give our mom (86) the wisdom, peace, grace, mercies and strength she needs as a caregiver. I am so thankful that Chris knows you as his Savior. I love you Lord! In Jesus most precious name, Amen!
