Please go to the end of my blog to mute my play list so you can listen to this beautiful song. God Bless You.
This past year has been a difficult year for many of us. For my family, I had two uncles pass away, a mother in law just pass away two weeks ago, my daughter diagnose with several autoimmune disease, we've lost our home, financial woes, health problems for myself and my husband and just the other day my sister called to tell me that our step father is failing very fast with kidney failure and possible congestive heart failure.
But guess what? I'm okay... God is so faithful... the peace He gives is so unwavering... so amazing! I am truly at peace with all... the good and the bad. Don't get me wrong, I have my moments when, like this song says, I ask to be held so I can cry. It can be good to cry once in a while.... it can be cleansing.
When my sister Marsha called me on New Year's Eve, I could tell in her voice she really needed a shoulder to cry on... her sister's shoulder. About 2,500 miles separate us physically... but the Lord and our love keeps us close at heart. So sis, this song is for you... picture me holding you and our Lord holding us both! I love you sis! I appreciate you taking care of mom and Chris even when you are so far from them as well. The Lord will give you the strength you need in these coming days and months.
“Don’t be afraid,” he said, “for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!”As he spoke these words to me, I suddenly felt stronger and said to him, “Please speak to me, my lord, for you have strengthened me.”
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
1 Peter 1:2
God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.May God give you more and more grace and peace.
Thank you dear Lord for your unfailing love, grace, mercy, and peace!
