Today's kids are living in a whole new world - one that's practically unrecognizable to anyone who grew up in the twentieth century. Blogs, ipods, MSN, nexopia, myspace, peer-to-peer…if this sounds like Greek to you, then you're not part of this new world. But your kids are.
The mainstreaming of the internet has radically altered the way in which kids view and interact with the world around them. To continue go here http://christianwomentoday.com/parenting/kidsonline.html

Awesome mission.
I think this needs to be every parents mission. Technology can be so dangerous.
I am convinced that, as a parent, you HAVE to stay on top of things where your kids are concerned. This new technological age is a very scary thing.
I can't imagine what it will be like when my daughter is old enough to be online. I hope to have every precautionary measure in place.
My boys are now grown. However we put off going online as long as we could during the highschool years because of the dangers. You just need to be as vigilent as you can be and let your children know that you are going to be.
I think having the computer in an open area and not in their rooms is an excellent idea. You can never be too careful.
My son went to school with one girl who was kidnapped by an online predator. Thank the Lord, she was found though it was many states away.
Yes it is not good for children to be on puters alone. I think this is a wonderful mission.
But you know it all starts with us, we have to have the time to sit with them.
Now I am facing the fact that as they become adults...they will have to monitor themselves...whew! Good info once again!
Thanks for sharing. I took an online class a while back about the dangers lurking out there and how we need to protect our kids.
Blessings Michele...A much needed MISSION and thanks so much for making people aware! All parents need to stay ahead and abreast with all these traps of the internet and the enemy. Great MISSION to share with us!
Michele, we've always been that way with our kids watching out and since my husband and I are both very computer savvy we stayed on top of it but I was always so surprised at parents in our ages that had kids similiar in ages that had no idea how to even use email and their kids were on the computer regularly. It's dangerous not to know what's going on with our kids.
Thanks for the awareness to all.
