Thankful Thursday

Who says it doesn't snow around Phoenix, Arizona?

We love our little rain storms that bring much needed water to the desert and beautiful rainbows to remind of God's wonderful promise to Noah.

Those of you who are suffering in terrible sub freezing temperatures, please bear with me as I praise the Lord for our beautiful weather in Phoenix, Arizona. When summer and fall comes around you can praise the Lord for your beautiful temps while we suffer with 100 plus degrees here in the desert. This is the time of year that Phoenicians enjoy the outdoors and say to one another that this is the reason we live in the Desert! The temp today was a high of 65 degrees (night time lows in the 40's)... sunshine... blue skies.... cool breeze.... Perfect day to be outside. So why did I spend the day inside? Hummm I need to think about this one.... Tomorrow I will get out for a little bit... Okay, so it's to go to another doctor's appointment, but it's getting out anyway. Yes, this is the time of year I praise the Lord for the beautiful temps. If I want to see snow, besides the little snow on the hills around us, I can take an hour and a half trip north to Prescott, AZ and see plenty of snow. Some places up north have 82 inches of snow! Yes, 82".... Arizona has all types of temps and climate. It is a beautiful state... just remind me of this when I start complaining of the 110 plus temps this summer!

I am also thankful that my sweet grandson, Travis, had such a wonderful time in cold snowy Prescott this weekend at his youth group retreat. Even though he did get sick because he's not used to the below freezing temps and six feet of snow. He did had fun, and also received a blessing too.

I am thankful for the Deb's who cleaned our apartment last Friday. Their love and compassion mean the world to us.

I am thankful for time spent with my dear hubby during this past three day weekend. It was the first weekend off for him in months. We just hung around the apartment, rested, and enjoyed one another's company. I am also thankful for the beautiful flowers he bought me for Valentine's day. They still look beautiful!

I am thankful that I was able to reconnect with some old friends through facebook. I still don't understand facebook... but it has helped me get reacquainted with some old friends. Some as far back as Junior High! Now that's a long time!

I am so thankful for God's wonderful provisions of our daily sustenance. As Travis learned from a video testimony presentation of children in Kenya, we have so much to be thankful for every single day!

I am so thankful for all my blogging friends. I know that many of you pray for me on a regular basis. You don't know how much I appreciate your prayers. I love you all so much.

Most of all I am so thankful for our Lord's salvation. I don't know where I would be without his love, and saving grace.

Enjoy your snow, dear! We don't get to see it often either. We are having the weirdest weather this year...it was 70 today, in the 40's tomorrow and talking about snow showers on Saturday. Go figure!

I just enjoy the beautiful spring/fall temps when we get them before the humidity sets in.

Happy TT!

Hi Michelle, I'll look for you on Facebook.

I enjoyed your list. So many times we complain about the weather but we really can be thankful in whatever God gives us.

How is Heather? I've missed her posts.

Hello sweet sister! Thanks for the heads up that my post wasn't up! It was saved as a draft rather than posted ahead. Sometimes my brain is like having a brain freeze from drinking something too cold.

Love you. (And I'm jealous of your temperatures!)
