Stop by Heather's blog and wish her a Happy Birthday!
On May 23rd, 1976 our lives changed for the better! Heather Michele was born 1:15 P.M. Sunday, May 23, 1976. She was 21 inches and 9 lbs! The marine corps sent Jim overseas before our first anniversary. He came home for a 2 week leave vacation and low and behold I became pregnant! When he finally came home Heather was a month old and I had grown up too!
We have had our ups and downs as all mother and daughters, but God's promise for us to train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it - came true when Heather was in her 20's. Don't give up on your wayward children. They will come home to the Lord and to you! We dedicated Heather to the Lord after she was born, she was God's from the start. We made our mistakes raising her, but in the end the choices she made were hers. But through much prayers and love, our daughter's rebellion stop and she came home and has been growing in the Lord ever since. The biggest change is our relationship! It was the typical teenage daughter and mother... if I said it was red she would say it was black. Today, we are best friends! So for those of you who have a wayward child, hold onto the promise of God... they will come back. Pray for them and give them to the Lord.
Heather, you are my joy, my heart, my little girl. Words can never express how much I love you and appreciate all that you do for me and your family! You are our precious princess... our glorious treasure... our sunshine!
We love you Heather!
