I'm Still Here! Prayer and Praise

I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I am so sorry I have not written and posted updates on my family. It has been a whirlwind of a week. This coming week will be about the same too!

My family arrived safe and sound Monday afternoon (Aug. 3rd). Heather's family trailer arrived and was set up right before they arrived. They are very happy with their used 5th wheel and the place where they are staying. It is so beautiful at our campground.

Monday was a bittersweet day. We also heard word that a dear friend and member of our church back in Phoenix had been tragically killed in a car accident. Please pray for the Schmidt family, the church and her ministry, With Child (a crisis pregnancy center). She will be greatly missed.

Last week's prayer requests and God's provisions:

We both will need Queen mattress beds for our "homes". God answered our prayers

We all need to get our PA drivers licenses and ID. Heather and Karl received their's. We will get our's next week.

Jim and I need a car for under $5,000. God answered our prayers - for less than $3,000!

We all need to apply for food, financial, and health care assistance with Lebanon County Office this week. Heather and family received all three within hours! Praise the Lord.

Karl is still awaiting unemployment pay. He was denied.

Karl needs a job. Has a couple of interviews... keep praying

Possibility of part-time jobs for Heather and I. (Anyone know anything I can do online?)

Jim would like to become an adjutant teacher for a college while he is teaching bible at the Christian School.

Good health and rest for the family. Pray Jim and I can get settled in our 5th wheel this coming week. Jim needs at least a week of rest before he begins his job at school.

Travis will be entering a new High School. Pray for good Christian friends, and that he will adjust well to his new surroundings and education. Travis has been fishing and playing basketball with new friends. His school begins Aug. 31st.

That we will not over stay our welcome at mom's and for her health to hold up as well. Our used 5th wheel will be delivered this coming Monday, Aug 10th! So mom will get her home back to herself

For Heather and family to find a church home and friends.

For Jim and I to find a church home and friends.

That I can reconnect with family and friends.

We are all adjusting well to our new surroundings. We love the beauty of the country. The old towns, green farms and yards, no fences or block walls, trees, flowers, crops, cows, horse and buggies, mountains and rolling hills. So beautiful here!

We truly appreciate all your prayers. I miss you all, I hope to be back to blogging again within the next couple of weeks after we get settled.

God bless you all.

I'm just glad to hear the latest and know that you are doing OK. It's always challenging to settle into a new environment but it certainly sounds like God is providing. Will keep praying about your needs. I love how you listed the answers you received so far. Praise God! It's so good to be grateful and to give Him the glory.

Love,
Debbie
