Jehovah-jireh
JEHOVAH - JIREH
The Lord Will Provide
"And Abraham said, My son, God will provide
himself a "Lamb" for a burnt offerings: so they
went both of them together. And Abraham
called the name of that place Jehovah - jireh: as it
said to this day, in the mount of the Lord it shall
be seen." Genesis 22:8,14
"Behold the Lamb of God who take away the sin
of the world." John 1:29
I have said many a time, “God will provide”. Our God is testing our faith in mighty ways these days. This past year God has been preparing our family’s heart and life for such a time as this… God will provide!
For those of you who have been following my blog know that God has been bringing my family into some amazing life changing experiences. I am so sorry that I have dropped the ball this summer in keeping you all posted and abreast on our journey through change with our Lord. I promise to do better in the future; but rest assured, your prayers and support for our family are truly heartfelt and so graciously welcomed and needed.
As we settle into our new routines in Pennsylvania, I continue to be amazed at how far God has taken our little family. I am amazed at how little one can truly live with in regards to our daily worldly needs and life sustenance etc…. At the same time I am finding once again how much we truly need our Lord for every detail of our lives. Too many times when we have good paying jobs, a house, and money in the bank etc… we fail to realize who has provided all this, and we also fail to be thankful for what we have because one day it all may be taken away from us in a blink of an eye.
My family has been experiencing much of this during the past year and especially the past few months. We are literally one step away from being homeless, yet, we are not worried – God is in control. He will not allow anything to happen to us without providing a way of escape or knowing that we cannot handle what is to come.
We are finding out what it is like to live below “poverty” level. We are finding out what “government healthcare” is really all about! This will be scary I am sure. We are finding out just how much we can live without as well. But I am also finding out just how blessed we are that God has provided a place for Jim and I and a place for Heather and family to live. They may be small, they may be unconventional to say the least for one to live in… especially during the winter months in the northeast! But they proved the essentials of life and even more. For that… we are truly thankful!
We are learning more and more of what is truly a want, need, and desire. And to go even further – what is an immediate need, and a need that can wait.
I am truly thankful for Jehovah-jireh – God my Provider! Some may believe that God is not really providing for my family and I because we are still struggling to survive. But you see God does not promise wealth and riches to everyone. He does promise to be with us through the storms of life; He promises to be our Provider, Sustainer, Comforter, Bread of Life, Living Water, Shepherd, Healer, Help, Hope, our Wonderful Savior, Lord of lords, Lamb of God!
Hum, after reading the above, I think my family may be richer than “Donald Trump!” What more can we ask for? What more could we possible truly need?
Dear gracious Heavenly Father, thank you for being my Jehovah-jireh. You are so precious to me and to my family. We give to you are daily needs…. You promise to provide our needs. However that may be or come about - Thank you for all that You are and all that I have and ever will have or need! In Jesus precious name, Amen!

Don't know your story. This is my first visit here, but I hear the heart of God in you in what I read. You are undoubtedly richer than Donald Trump. Praise God!
