Lest We Forget

It’s hard to believe it has been eight years since that horrific day that changed America and the world alike. Each year since, I have been asked numerous times the one question that I believe everyone who was living at the time can answer for years to come; “Where were you September 11th, when the terrorists attacked America?”
I wholeheartedly believe that we should never forget the over 3000 souls that lost their lives in this treacherous act of violence. Nor should we forget the sacrifice and loss of thousands of others who have and continue to fight the endless war on terrorism. My heart breaks every time I think of a mother, wife, child, father, brother, sister, etc… who has lost a loved one through this ongoing battle with terrorism. I cannot even imagine what they go through on a daily basis.
I may be able to answer the question, “Where were you on September 11th?,” but I cannot answer the next question that usually arises after, “WHY did this happen?” “Why did God allow this to happen? “ “Why?”
