Personal Prayer Request

I had mentioned that “I am Back”. Yes and no…. Let me expound on that. I do have plenty of time to be online with everyone… yes…. BUT I do not have plenty of Megabytes or gigabytes … to be online. Since we live in a campground we do not have a land-line for phone/internet connection; so we have to purchase broadband or satellite. In so doing we have limited internet access. We only have 5 Gigs to use each month. That may sound like a lot, but when you consider everything we download on our websites, blogs, etc… it can all add up. If we go over we have to pay 25 cents for each megabyte we go over!!! We could go with satellite that would give us about 15 G, but it costs about $300 to set up initially and we do not have $300 to spend on this, so this means I have to limit my time and what I download to watch and even listen to!

This brings me to a special prayer request; please pray that the Lord will supply the funds so that I can minister online and most importantly be ministered to. As most of you already know from my blog, I love music. Music ministers to my soul, my spirit, my whole body! Since the music online takes lots of MB’s I have not been able to listen to my music, not only on my blog, but other sites and radio stations etc. We don’t even get radio stations on our stereo at home. I told you… we live in the country!! And our CD player does not work on the stereo either! Oh my!!! My days and nights are VERY quiet considering we do not have TV either! So you can see how important it is for me to have better internet connection/service. It’s my only connection to the outside world most days. It keeps me connected to all of you.

With not having my music and being able to stay connected with you all I have also been a little depressed… down in the dumps. Please keep me in your prayers. My health has been declining a little as well.

Speaking of my health – A big prayer request! I do not have health insurance. Jim does not have health insurance offered through his job, so we do not have any. I went to the PA Welfare office and they say that Jim makes too much for me to get my healthcare provided. I wonder who actually considers how much is too much? I would love to see those people try to live on $25,000 a year without healthcare! The welfare social worker told me my only option is to try to get on disability. If anyone has ever tried to get disability then you would know all the hoops you have to jump through, besides the time it takes as well. I will need medication before the end of this month, please pray as I try to find organizations that will help with the purchase of my medications. I also need to set up with doctors here in PA as well. I have an appointment in October with a free clinic, and hopefully they can help some.

The Lord has been teaching us some new things lately, and one of those things is just how difficult things are out in the world! Especially for those of us who are low to middle income people. So many people have a rough time right now. We really need to pray for one another.

Well, thank you for listening to my ranting. God bless you….

Michele, things are quite difficult all over it seems. Of course I will pray for you and the requests you mentioned. Many of the drug companies have programs for people who cannot afford medicines. I don't know if you looked into this yet.

I know what you mean about having access to the internet though. We don't realize how much we use it and rely on it until it's not available.

I am not certain I could stand to live without internet! I have raised your petitions to the Lord.

I stopped by from Linda's (Mocha With Linda) because I loved your comment on her 09/09/09 post.

Blessings!

Wow, I will be praying. Can I send you some of my worship CDs that I am not using if you can get a boom box to work?

If so, e-mail me your addy. I'd be glad to give you some music.

Thank you for stopping in to share your prayer needs. I will bring them before our Lord.

Hugs!

Hi Michelle, you must be Marsha's sister - you two look alike. :)

My sister has a blog too - it's fun to see her around in blogland!

Tiffany had a great idea - please send me you address, and some of your favorite CD's. I would love to send you a few - really please do.

Praying things work out soon with the internet but most of all with the health care. It so scary to be with out health insurance and to be chronically ill.
You are in my prayers.
