Thankful Thursday - I'm Still Here!

Thank you to those of you who have been concerned regarding my absence from blogging. I truly appreciate your prayers, emails and cards.

The last month and a half has been too busy for one who has chronic illness. Every day has been an appointment or visit of some kind. I love living in the country but it does have it's negatives as well. For one appointment it can take up to 3 to 4 hours between travel and appointment time. I have also been driving myself and that can be stressful as well. As some of you know, I had not been driving for over 6 years until this year due to my health and side effects to certain medications I had once been on.

When one has chronic illness like fibromyalgia (as well as other illnesses) you cannot keep going day after day. We have to have a day or two in between busy days to rest. So I have to say that my body and mind are shutting down. I have not been able to concentrate enough to write on my blog. By the time I get home I am literally drained.

I am thankful that God has given me the strength to continue on each day. Although I believe He along with my body are saying "Slow Down!". So pray I can schedule my appointments and days better so that I can have the strength to do things at home as well as blog once again. For I do miss you all. Blogging blesses me beyond measure.

Again, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I miss you all dearly. God bless you.

Hello dear one, my husband has a chronic illness... Cancer. And I have severe asthma. It is tough, I know. Where would we be without our faith? It sustains us. Hope you have some good days real soon.
God bless.

Hi Michelle, glad to hear you're doing fine. I've not been blogging all that much either and didn't know about your health. Praying for you.

Michele, I was wondering about you. So glad to see you posting on Thankful Thursday. I can only imagine what it's like living in the country. I've never had that experience. But I'm sure you are a blessing to your mom.

Hugs and love,
Debbie

Oh how I identify with the need for those down days after the racing around ones.....have a couple of weeks off gym to recover health and that sort of down time sanity.
Good you are driving again and hope it becomes less stressful all the time.
Hope and pray that those appointments were and will be, of some value.
